About the Educator Resilience Blueprint

Let's face it. 2020 put a strain on educators to give more of their time and energy to recreating lesson plans, learning new technologies, and creating ever-changing modes of content delivery to students. This year hasn't gotten any easier. I think we all had hoped that COVID would be behind us, but the uncertainty continues and the toll it is taking on educators is monumental.

Now, more than ever, school staff are overwhelmed, stressed, always feeling like they have to do more, facing a to-do list so long that they just want to give up, and feeling  ineffective in all areas of life.

Self-care feels like one more think on the to-do list that never gets done.

I strongly believe that teachers and staff shouldn't be expected to individually care for their own needs and that organizations have a responsibility to build their capacity to care for staff. That's why I created the Educator Resilience Blueprint to empower schools with a simple tool to prioritize staff well-being and create supportive school environments. With a total time commitment of just 30 - 45 minutes per lesson, educators and school staff will gain valuable tools and resources needed to manage stress associated with their work and facilitate a path to sustainable well-being.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to...

  • Understand the purpose of strong emotions and how to handle them
  • Cultivate resilience
  • Create a rhythm that supports well-being
  • Renew energy and creativity
  • Experience self-compassion when things are hard

The wellness and resilience of teachers is directly correlated to the environments and relationships they create with students and their longevity in the profession. Together, we can change school culture to better care for those that pour their lives into students!

Hi, I'm Denise Moody and I'm here to give you the tools and resources you need to prioritize staff wellbeing and supportive school cultures in your building. As an educator, therapist and administrator, I’ve discovered that the work that gives me purpose is to support passionate and motivated educators and administrators in transforming schools to support the needs of all students and families, without burning themselves out in the process. I have spent sixteen years working in educational settings with early childhood through high school age students primarily at the district level and currently serve as the Assistant Director of Student Services with Rochester Public Schools. I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Winona State University and Masters of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/College of St. Catherine’s. I also attended the University of Minnesota with a focus area of educational leadership and am licensed as a Director of Special Education.
